Crafts Idea: Foam Sheet Glasses Case

Looking for a crafts idea for your children? This crafts idea will be interesting and fun for all.

To make the glasses case, you will need the following simple materials: a square of craft foam, plastic or foam large needles, along lace or thick wire. Cut two rectangles of foam, each 9 cm by 15 cm. With a hole punch, make holes on three sides of each rectangle, leaving a short side unpunched. Make the holes 1 / 2 inches apart and allow at least 1 / 4 inch between the hole and the edge of the craft foam. The holes need to line so that the two parts can be laced together. If you prepare the craft for small children, do not let them make the holes themselves.

At this stage, decorative craft can cut other forms of colors craft foam, or you can buy packages of ready-cut foam forms. If you do crafts at a special event, like vacation Bible school, you can choose forms that echo the theme of the event. For example, if the Bible school or camp cowboy has a theme, find ways that fit well, such as boots, hats cowboy, and the stars. Let the children choose the forms they like and glue on what you want. You might also like to provide beads or sequins to stick together on.

The next step in this crafts idea is to wire plastic needle with yarn or lanyard lace. Yarn perhaps a little easier to handle, but along the lace is bright and attractive. In a pinch, some teachers of young children use a bobby pin as a needle. It is certainly a safe alternative. Just loop the wire through the opening and free use of bobby pin as if it was the point of the needle. Children can now begin to lace front and rear glasses case.

To modificate this crafts idea into a necklace bag, just attach a piece of lace along each corner making a long race. The children will enjoy using this case as a secret location to store notes and small objects. If they had, they can give the glasses case to a parent, grandparent or a friend who wears glasses. Anyway, this crafts idea will be interesting for everyone.
